Designing the "Lilac Blossom" Runner – A Gentle Story That Weaves Table Elegance

In every piece we create, there is a moment of inspiration hidden behind the details. The Lilac Blossom runner was not just a passing idea — it was a quiet design journey that began with a flower and ended with a product that adds natural beauty to your dining table decor.

Inspired by Lilac Flowers: A Design That Began in Nature

I chose lilac flowers as the main source of inspiration — with their calm purple hue and branching leaves — to form the foundation of a balanced and visually soothing pattern. The initial drawing began by hand with fine details, then was digitally transformed into a precise repeating pattern that covers the runner in a harmonious way.

My Design Steps: From Paper to Screen

I always begin my designs on paper with a pencil — I love the effect of a natural hand-drawn line. I started by sketching the flowers with fine pencil lines, then redrew them in ink to bring out the details, and experimented with adding watercolor touches.

In the end, I chose to return to ink and color the drawing digitally in my own style, to achieve a pattern that combines the feel of the hand with the clarity of digital work.

Color Selection: A Balance Between Softness and Warmth

We used a "Cloud White" background — a soft, warm shade of white inspired by Pantone's Cloud Dancer — which gives the table a sense of purity without coldness. This color makes the runner ideal for pairing with various types of tables, from light to dark wood.

An Elegant Fabric That Withstands Use

The runner is made from luxurious Italian satin fabric, known for its soft touch and subtle sheen. It is strong and durable, and can be washed and cleaned easily without affecting its color or losing its shape. This fabric gives the runner a refined presence with every use.

A Complete Table Decor: Coordinating with the Placemat

The runner pairs beautifully with a matching placemat in the same lilac blossom pattern, creating a cohesive and elegant table setting that is both classic and fresh.
