Fay & Ramla: A Canvas of Nature and Tranquility
Amid the warm and serene atmosphere of Al-Abdali farm — enchanting even in winter — and under the shade of palm trees stretching across the farm, I drew inspiration for the "Fay & Ramla" runners — to embody the spirit of family and its beautiful gatherings. The "Fay" runner is not just a decorative piece; it is a collection of details that reflect the beauty of Kuwait's enchanting farm nature and a touch of authentic heritage.
The Inspiration Behind the Design
The runner was inspired by family gatherings at Al-Abdali farms, where the clarity of the sky meets the softness of the sand. Under the shade of palm trees, with the scent of coffee and the fragrance of saffron blended with tea, every motif and every color in "Fay" was chosen to evoke these atmospheres of comfort and peace.
The "Ramla" runner echoes the quiet evenings of Al-Abdali, where the sound of the wind mingles with the warmth of family conversation. "Ramla" expresses those unforgettable moments, full of nostalgia and serenity.
Design Details and Execution
Colors
I started with two color palettes in mind. I loved the blue, and then decided to incorporate Pantone's Color of the Year. For the "Fay" runner, I chose indigo blue to express the beautiful Al-Abdali evenings and the color of the sky. For the "Ramla" runner, I chose beige — a 2025 color tone — elegantly harmonizing with nature, the farm's sand, and even the dusty days 😄

Palm Trees
Filling the farm and adding a unique kind of beauty.
Nowair Flower
The flower that fills the farm in spring, making it radiant and glowing with yellow. I chose it to act as a frame that highlights each element of the design.
Coffee Dallah & Tea Pot
Essential elements of every gathering, especially at the farm.
Dates
No coffee without dates — dates plucked from the tall palm trees of the farm, with classic geometric details that add beauty to the design.
Execution
All illustrations are hand-drawn on paper, then transferred to the computer and arranged in the appropriate layout.
Fabric: A luxurious, soft, and durable fabric suitable for daily use and special occasions.
