Lily & Architecture: A Creative Journey in Table Runner Design
From Sketch to Fabric: The Design Journey of the Lily Runner
At the heart of every designer lies a dream that takes shape through designs that mirror reality. For me, that dream was a table runner that captures the spirit of the lily and embodies classical architecture in every stitch and color. This is the story of my passion transformed into a tangible reality that adorns homes.
Inspiration: Where the Lily Meets Architecture

The lily, with its symmetrical petals and elegant form, has always been a symbol of timeless beauty and purity. And when you look at classical architecture, you find the same precision in design and harmony in form. One day, while contemplating the beauty of these elements, the idea was born to merge them together in a table runner design.
Drawing: The First Steps of Creativity
Every design begins with a sketch, and every sketch is the beginning of a story. With pencil and drawing paper, I began outlining the motifs — with every line I drew, I felt the lily pulsing with life on the page. Carefully, I placed the first touches of what would later become a work of art.
Color: Choosing Gold
Color means life, and choosing gold was no coincidence. I wanted a color that reflects luxury and elegance while retaining simplicity and refinement. Gold was my choice — to add a warm luminance that harmonizes with the beauty of the lily petal.
The Fabric: Turning the Sketch into Reality
The next step was choosing the perfect fabric — the canvas that would carry the design forever. I chose a fabric that balances strength and softness, durable yet gentle to the touch. I felt the runner was missing something — yes, golden threads to make it a complete work of art. I added gold embroidery along the edges, which gave it an extraordinary beauty, as if it were a beautiful painting in a golden frame.
The Final Design: The Runner
After hours of hard work, the final runner was born. With every stitch and every thread, the sketch came to life and ideas became reality. The result was a table runner pulsing with elegance and luxury — a design that expresses my passion for beauty and refined detail.
To complete the picture, I designed a placemat to complement the artistic composition, making your table a beautiful work of art. The paper placemat design incorporates typography with the phrase: "Joy may come in the form of a month."
Passion: The Soul of Design
This project was not just work for me — it was an embodiment of the love I hold for design and creativity. In every moment of the design process, my passion for beauty and perfection guided my hand. I believe that art is not just to be looked at, but to be lived with, and this runner is an invitation to experience that beauty in your daily life.
I invite you now to explore this work of art — not just as a decor piece, but as a daily companion that shares your moments and adds a touch of beauty and elegance to them.
