2From Idea to Creativity ✨ A Design Story That Pulses with the Spirit of the Kuwaiti Family

Creativity begins with a moment of inspiration. In today's blog, we take you on a journey full of life — from the very first idea for the unique placemat design, through its application on a kitchen apron and tea towel, to reveal how a vision became a reality that touches our daily lives.

The First Spark — The Idea

Everything started with a spark of an idea on the horizon: why shouldn't a placemat have its own language? A language that speaks to Kuwaiti hospitality, expresses the joy of Ramadan dishes, and shares the common phrases heard in every home during the holy month. That's where the idea began — turning the concept into lines on paper.
Drawing is not just a translation of an idea — it is a reimagining of it. With pencil and ink, words and dishes took shape on paper, infusing every line with a spirit of fun and authenticity.

From Paper to Fabric

When the design moved from paper to fabric, the priority was to preserve the 4 spirit of the illustrations. The placemat, with its beautiful design, forms a miniature map of the Kuwaiti Ramadan table — every dish and every word captured in fabric.
The journey evolved over the years:
2021 — The idea began: a kitchen towel featuring our home's Luqaimat and favorite Ramadan dishes.
2022 — The idea grew into a large table runner carrying beautiful details.
2023 — A paper placemat added joy to the Ramadan table.
2024 — A new placemat featuring words and phrases commonly said at the Iftar table.

The Kitchen Apron and Tea Towel

Then came the time to expand the vision: a kitchen apron bearing the same motifs to add joy to the cooking experience, and a tea towel to accompany the warm moments after every meal — sharing in drying hands or dishes with the same elegance and happiness that the dishes themselves carry.
