From My Rooftop Garden
A Design Story
A phrase I read from one of my Instagram followers caught my attention and sparked the idea for a kitchen towel design. The idea stayed in my mind for a while, and then I took the first step: drawing.
The Beginning
It started with thinking about which vegetables to use in the design. By following some rooftop gardening accounts, I noticed recurring produce: beetroot, onion, carrot, tomato, and pumpkin.
Since I prefer to draw from real things in front of me, I had beetroot, onion, potato, and carrot available from our own garden — and these vegetables became the heroes of this design.
I started drawing, coloring, and writing the phrase that is the heart of the idea. The towel design was completed about a year ago or less.
Two months ago, I returned to the design and decided to expand it into a full kitchen collection. I created a second towel design and a kitchen apron design to complete the set.
The Result
When I saw the result and it looked beautiful, I ordered the products. Once they arrived and I saw how well they turned out, I decided to list them on the website.
This collection is now live on our website, and alhamdulillah, it has been receiving wonderful orders since day one.
